New Delhi: Amid all the media speculations and gossips, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are learnt to be considering bringing their relationship out of the closet.
According to News24 sources, it has come to light that the Kapoor lad and his lady love might get engaged next month. If the grapevine is to be believed, on September 28, which happens to be Ranbir’s birthday, the couple will exchange engagement rings for starting a new innings in their lives.
However, this information, which is in the realm of speculation, may give Ranbir’s dad Rishi some sleepless nights. It is already known that both Rishi and mom Nitu Kapoor were miffed about the pictures of their son and Kat in Spain. The duo’s recent trip to Spain had left many tongues wagging, with the pictures of the hottest actress in a bikini going viral online.
It was also reported that Rishi had scolded Kaif once when she came to his house to meet her rumoured beau. In an interview to a magazine, Kapoor Sr. had also warned ‘Chikni Chameli’ not to get too much involved with Ranbir. Even then, the 30-year-old diva reached the superstar’s bungalow.
According to reports, the veteran actor has been “playing cool” when he is really irked with his son’s romances and even appointed a guard to keep a track on latter’s whereabouts.
The couple will soon be seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet. Pictures of the duo snapped at a coffee shop in Colombo were also revealed recently where the shooting for the film was going on.
The duo may have in the past refrained from speaking or accepting their relationship publicly, but one cannot just dismiss talks of an imminent engagement considering the fact Kat was seen dining with Ranbir’s mom Nitu in London. Nitu was, it was believed, not happy with her son’s relationship with Deepika Padukone earlier, but was OK with Katrina. However, the Ibiza scandal made things difficult for the Rockstar’s parents.
