I supported Demi Moore after her split: Miley Cyrus

London: Singer-actress Miley Cyrus claims she supported Demi Moore after her split from Ashton Kutcher. The ‘Wrecking Ball’ hitmaker, who called off her engagement with Liam Hemsworth last week, said she is happy that she was able to support the 50-year-old actress on the set of their movie ‘LOL’ last year, shortly after Moore’s sudden split from Kutcher after six years of marriage, reported Contactmusic.

“That was dope, because I think we needed each other at that point. We both needed to get out of LA,” Cyrus said. The 20-year-old singer said that Moore in turn helped her to grow up and move on from her ‘Hannah Montana’ past.

“Detroit’s where I felt like I really grew up. It was only for a summer, but that’s where I started going to clubs, where I got my first tattoo.  Well, not my first tattoo, but my first without my mom’s consent. I got it on 8 Mile! I lied to the guy and told him I was 18. I got a heart on my finger and wore a Band-Aid for two months so my mom wouldn’t find out,” Miley Cyrus added.Cyrus is grabbing headlines these days for posing nude in her latest video.

Court imposes stay on Ram Leela poster

Jaipur: Controversies seem to have no ending for Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone starrer Ram Leela. After the flick got  embroiled in a row with certain groups objecting to its poster and title, a Jaipur court on Wednesday imposed a stay on the film’s poster, terming it as “obscene”.

A petitioner named Pawan Sharma had filed a case against the film in Jaipur’s Shyam Nagar Police station on Monday.
Ram Leela is a modern day adaptation of William Shakespeare’s epic love saga Romeo and Juliet. The poster depicts Ranveer and his co-star Deepika in a very intimate pose which might have
irked the court. The film is slated to hit the theatres on November 15.

Superstars no longer rule box office: Akki

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar feels the era of films riding on popularity of big stars is gone and at present films with solid content are ruling the box office.
“It is not that if a name of a big star is attached to a movie it will automatically become hit. Only good films do well. If the script, the content is good then film works. Films of even big actors don’t work at box office sometimes.
“Gone are the days when films of superstars did well or ruled the box office all the time,” Akshay said in an interview.
The 46-year-old also said he does not believe in categorisation of actors.
“It’s all about script and whoever is part of the film and does a good job (acts well). At the end of the day it’s the script that matters. No artist is small today. I don’t consider anyone small,” he said.
Akshay would be seen next in Anthony D’souza’s Boss, which is the remake of Malayalam movie
Pokkiri Raja.
“When I saw the movie I loved it. The film has entertainment, comedy and 12 sequences of hardcore action. It is the story of two brothers and father, which is the prime reason for me to do the story. I shared great rapport with my father and that’s why I made films like Waqt, Ek RishtaJanwaar. This is my fourth film in this space,” the actor said.

Playing Asaram means lot of work: Arjun

Mumbai: Director Prakash Jha has reportedly decided to make a film called Satsang, which is said to be inspired by spiritual guru Asaram Bapu

It is being speculated that either Ajay Devgn, Arjun Rampal or Manoj Bajpayi will play the lead
role.
When asked at an event about the movie, Arjun said, “I got to know about this news today (Wednesday) morning  only through newspapers. I don’t know about it.”
“I think, I will have to work a lot to play Asaram Bapu (Laughs)...mujhe bahut mehnat karni padegi Asaram Bapu banne ke liye,” he added in a lighter vein.
Reportedly Satsang will also throw light on the
recent controversy surrounding Asaram who has been booked under various sections of the Protection
of Children from Sexual Offences Act and the Indian Penal Code after a 16-year-old alleged that he raped her.
Arjun Rampal was last seen on silver screen in Prakash Jha’s Satyagraha.

Sanjay’s event cancelled due to security reasons

Pune: The Marathi play featuring Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has been cancelled due to security reasons. The 54-year-old actor, who is serving a 42-month-jail sentence in Pune’s Yerwada Central Jail was to perform in the regional skitTeemiratun... Tejakade  (From Darkness to Light) that deals with Gandhism and alcoholism in the Pune jail  on Thursday.

Sanjay Dutt was selected by the prison authorities to perform in a fund-raising cultural drama to be held at the Bal Gandharva Auditorium in the city.
According to sources, Dutt and his teammates were to perform on the famous Lungi dance from the recent Shah Rukh Khan-Deepika Padukone chartbusterChennai  Express. And,  Munna Bhai, sources said, had been polishing his acting-dancing skills and rehearsing for the show in the jail premises since the past fortnight along with the other inmates.
On May 16, the Bollywood actor had surrendered before a Mumbai court, and a week later he was shifted to Yerwada to serve the remaining five-year sentence in the March 1993
Mumbai serial blasts.

Dippy, Kat to work together?

Mumbai: Vipul Shah’s sequel to the 2007 blockbuster Namastey London  is already the talk of the town even before the cast of the film has been officially announced.
Rumours have it that the Namastey London 2 is all set to showcase Katrina Kaif and Deepika
Padukone as its female lead. Well, if this is true,  considering the history of grudges the two divas hold against each other, this news  will definitely feed the gossip mongers for a while.

Well there are no guesses to know that the  cause  of  this rift between the two is none other than
Besharam  star Ranbir Kapoor. Katrina Kaif who is rumored to be the reason behind Deepik-Ranbir  split has  usually maintained a distance when it came to sharing the dais with
Deepika, and this feeling is mutual, say sources.
Whenever both the Diva’s are spotted together at  functions they evidently avoid each others presence. Be it during Ranbir Kapoor’s birthday last year or IPL’s opening ceremony in Kolkata, both the actresses  made it clear that do not acknowledge each other’s presence. Things were pretty much the same when the two came together at Actor Arjun Kapoor’s birthday bash this year.
To add to the bitter war of words between the tinsel town ladies, soon after pictures of Katrina’s beach holiday with Ranbir went viral on social sites and were reported by newspapers, Deepika’s advice to Kaif in a press conference sort of incensed her. “It has never happened to me. I believe if you are a celebrity or public figure... these things are bound to happen. And I don’t think you can accuse anybody of anything. If I am a public figure and if someone has captured me then I feel I should have been a little careful,” said Deepika.
And now Katrina has been telling her friends and family that Deepika should learn to keep her ‘words of wisdom’ to herself.
Meanwhile “Katrina’s grouse against Deepika stems from the fact that Deepika should understand her plight because she too was clicked by the paparazzi in Dubai with Ranveer kissing her in front of
guests at a night club. People who live in glass houses should not throw stones.” Kaif had said.

Upset over director, 90 unit members quit Jodha Akbar

Mumbai: Upset over being constantly harassed by the show’s director, as many as 90 members of popular TV soap Jodha Akbar’s production team have left in a huff.

According to sources, the reason behind the mass resignation is believed to be director Santaram Verma. The sulking employees have accused the director of being autocratic. He is alleged of habitually unleashing vendetta against people who differed with him on certain issues.
The sources further say that the serial’s producer Ekta Kapoor also supported Verma when the
dissident employees went to her for venting their grudge.
When Ashwini Kalsekar, who is a part of the show was asked about this issue, she refused to comment.

Saif advises me to get married at 40: Soha

Actress Soha Ali Khan, who has been in a relationship with actor Kunal Khemu from quite a some
time, says though her mother keeps asking her to settle down, brother Saif advises to take the plunge at the age of 40.

Soha and Kunal recently moved into a new house and are living together but it seems marriage is not on cards yet.
“My mother tells me everyday I should get married and if I would have gone by her way then by now I should have had 20
children. She tells me all the time get married, get married but now she has resigned, she is tired and fed up,” Soha said.
On the other hand, brother Saif feels people should get married at 40.
“He says marriage is very serious commitment and you are genuinely not ready for it until you are 40. He advised me to do it. When my mother called him and told him to talk to us why we are not getting married this is what he told her,” she said.
At 42, Saif, son of former Indian cricket captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and actress Sharmila Tagore, sealed his five year relationship with Kareena last year through a registered marriage.
The 34-year-old actress says Kunal is her support system and is a happy-go-lucky person.

Masti gears up for the third sequel

Mumbai: Actress Sonalee Kulkarni, seen inGrand Masti, has hinted that the filmmakers are already planning a third movie for the franchise.
“The best compliment for a filmmaker is when the audience asks them about the next part. So yes, it’s a compliment and I am sure our makers are listening to it. Definitely, the process for a third part must have begun,” Sonalee said at the Globoil India Awards on Saturday.
Asked if she would be a part of the third film, Sonalee said, “I don’t know! It would be too early to say it. The script has not started and they are still contemplating on it because the audience accepted the second part well. So it’s still too early to talk about it.”
Meanwhile, Sonalee has thanked the audience for making her debut film a superhit and says she couldn’t have asked for more.
“Thank you so much everyone. The film couldn’t have been a success without you all. Thanks to all the audiences and viewers who watched the film two to three times in theatres,” Sonalee said.

“The idea of playing a female detective was irresistible. Also, the movie title intrigued me,” said Vidya.
Bobby Jasoos is produced by Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha under their banner Born Free Entertainment and Vidya seems to be excited to work with the duo.
“I’ve known Dia and Sahil for years now. They are the kind of producers every actor would want to  work with. But the final clincher for me was Sanyuktha Chawla’s script and director Samar Shaikh. It kept me hooked and I am really looking forward to working with them,” added the 35-year-old
actress.
Bobby Jasoos will go on floors around mid-November and will release in 2014.

Is Elli Salman’s new girl?

Elli is currently a contestant in television reality show, Bigg Boss 7, which is hosted by Dabangg Khan.

In one of the episodes of the TV show, Salman hinted about his feelings for Elli. He said, “Agar tum pehle mili hoti to tum Bigg Boss ke nahi, mere ghar mein hoti. (If we would have met earlier, then you would have been in my house rather than in Bigg Boss house).”
In the last season of Bigg Boss, Salman favoured Sana Khan on the show. The actor has dated Aishwarya Rai, Katrina Kaif and most recently Ilulia Vantur.

Stay on Grand Masti’s release in Punjab, Haryana lifted

Chandigarh: Just two days after it stayed the release of Hindi film Grand Masti in cinema theatres in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh, the Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday lifted the order.

The order, imposed by  a single judge bench Tuesday, was vacated by a division bench.
The court had earlier stayed the release of the film, scheduled to be released across India on Friday, after a lawyer filed a petition complaining about its vulgar dialogues and obscene content.
He said that the movie promos were degrading women and that the content and actions in the film were indecent.
Starring Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani, Grand Masti is a sequel of the Masti, which was released in 2004.

Endorsing condoms not a taboo for Arjun

Mumbai:  While they candidly make love with their female co-stars onscreen, Bollywood actors have always maintained distance from endorsing contraceptives. But, it seems that model-turned-actor Arjun Rampal is all set to shatter the myth.

According to sources, 40-year-old Rampal was approached by a company which manufactures condoms. The firm reportedly offered to pay him double the original signing amount. The actor accepted the offer without qualms.
Arjun will be the first mainstream actor to endorse a condom brand. Earlier, serial kisser Emraan Hashmi had refused to endorse such a product although he is known for the steamy scenes with seductive divas on-screen.
“I don’t want to endorse anything or be a part of a campaign that’s overtly sexual in nature. A condom advertisement would leave a certain impact on the audience...Doing such an ad would only amplify the image I am trying to move away from,” the 34-year-old actor had said.

Kapoors are finest actors in film industry: Bebo

Mumbai: Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan feels that ‘Kapoors’ are the finest actors in the industry.
“I would love to work with Ranbir, he is doing a good job. I would love to work with my father and my sister. But we haven’t come across anything interesting. I feel Kapoors are the finest actors in the industry. Being a Kapoor, I think acting is genetic,” said Kareena.
There were rumours that Ranbir and Kareena might come together for Zoya Akhtar’s film. But it seems nothing fruitful is happening on that front.
Kareena’s great-grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor’s legacy was taken forward by his three sons Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor and
Shashi Kapoor, whose wife Jennifer was the first female from the Kapoor clan to act in movies.
All three sons of Raj Kapoor - Randhir, Rishi and Rajeev - too entered filmdom. In the fourth generation, it was Randhir and Babita’s daughter Karisma who carried forward the legacy and later, Kareena followed in her sister’s footsteps.
“I enjoy working in films and I feel fortunate enough
that I have got to play variety of roles on screen and
entertain people. The journey till now has been pleasant,” Kareena said.
Before giving her nod for a project, Kareena looks for an exciting role.
“My role should be exciting, even if it is small. I should have fun while doing it. Then, there has to be a comfort level with the directors and co-stars,” she said.
She will be seen next opposite Imran Khan in Gori Tere  Pyaar Mein.

Will beat SRK’s film record’

Mumbai: They hugged and made up recently at an iftaar party but Salman Khan is in no mood to
relent when it comes to their box office rivalry and claims he will outdo Shah Rukh Khan with
his next film.
Salman acknowledged that SRK starrer beat the box office records set by him but is not too worried about Chennai Express earning Rs 225.67 crore.

“I hugged Shah Rukh during Ramadan because it was a pious month and it’s not only me who should show such gestures to friends but all should do that. It’s a being human act,” Salman said during a press conference for Bigg Boss’ season 7.
“I don’t have any personal enmity with him and I know his release broke all my records. If I have any problem then I want to beat the person through my work. My next release will be an answer to all the new records which are going to happen at the box-office be it Aamir’s Dhoom 3 or new actor Ranbir’s next film,” he added.
Salman, 47, returns as the host of the celebrity reality show on Colors for the fourth time and when asked whether he will invite his Karan Arjun co-star on the show, he was all for it.
“I will invite Shah Rukh on my show. If he wants to come and promote his film, he is most welcome,” he said. Asked if he would like to do a show like Aamir’sSatyamev Jayate, Salman joked, “I am open to do anything. If Aamir does not want to host it then I will associate myself with the show. Not only Satyamev Jayate, if Bachchan sahab feels he is too old to host Kaun Banega Crorepatithen I will do that also.”
The actor, who was in a jovial mood during the press conference, said the only question that makes him angry is about his marriage.
“Nothing happen without God’s wish. When I will get a girl I will definitely get married. People who ask me such questions, I feel they are brain dead,” he said.

I’m living stress-free life: Shweta

Mumbai: TV actress Shweta Tiwari, who has been celebrating Ganesh Utsav since the last seven years, says thanks to the lord’s blessings, she is now living her life happily.

The actress has been through a lot of ups and downs in her personal life - a troubled marriage with actor Raja Chaudhary, with whom she has a daughter named Palak, and then a divorce.

Shweta recently married her long-time beau Abhinav Kohli in July, and says “right now I am all
stress-free.”

“I don’t even come to know when the day comes and ends. I wish Ganapati keeps this forever,” Shweta told reporters on Monday during the Ganapati festivities at her residence.

“I never felt the need to ask for anything from Ganapati. He just kept on blessing me with so much love and happiness,” added the actress, who is known for shows like Kasauti Zindagii Kay and Parvarrish - Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi.

‘My jumping, dancing come from Ganapati’

Mumbai: Veteran actor Jeetendra, known as the Jumping Jack of Bollywood, owes his dancing skills to the days he spent celebrating Ganesh Utsav as a kid.

“I never went to any disco, I didn’t know anything about dance. Whatever jumping or dancing
I did in films, is because of my Ganapati and Govinda (Lord Krishna),” Jeetendra said during Ganesh aarti at his residence.

The festival started on Monday.

The 71-year-old also recalled his childhood days when he would run from one house to another to grab prasad (food offerings to the god).

“We kids used to roam around the entire building to collect money for the Ganapati festival. Every house had it’s own Ganapati also, besides the common one of the building, and my charm was to check the prasad at every house,” he said.

“If it was sugar, then we would skip that house. We would stay at houses that had some sweets.

We use to reach  only during the   end of the aarti, eat  the prasad quickly and run away,” he added.

Born into a Punjabi family, Jeetendra grew up in the Girgaum area of Mumbai and till date, he performs the first aarti of the building where he stayed in as a child.

Court stays Grand Masti release

Chandigarh: The Punjab and Haryana High Court  on Tuesday ordered a stay on the release of Hindi film Grand Masti in theatres in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.

The film was scheduled for release across India on September 13.

A lawyer had petitioned the court that the film contained vulgar dialogues and obscene content.

He said the movie promos were degrading to women, and that the content of the film was indecent.

Starring Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani, Grand Masti is a sequel of the film Masti, which released in 2004.

In his petition, the lawyer also sought directions for the Central Board of Film Certification to reconsider its approval granted to the film.

Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court on Monday restrained the makers of Grand Masti from showing the name and banner of ICICI bank on its plea alleging that no prior permission was taken from it.

My mom keeps telling me to get married: Hooda

New Delhi: Randeep Hooda may be enjoying a career high but like any other family, all his mother wants to see is her famous son getting hitched.

The 37-year-old actor, who reportedly dated a string of women including Sushmita Sen and Neetu Chandra in the past, is currently single and has no plans to marry any time soon.

“My mom often tells me to get married but she gets it now that I don’t want to. Like any other mom she is worried but she also understands the demands of my profession. I am blessed to have a family like this,” Randeep said.

The Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster star considers his family as his biggest critic and counts on them from time to time.

“My family is my biggest critic. Since they come from a non-filmi background they give me an audience’s point of view.  They have been very supportive of me,” he said.

Randeep started his career with Monsoon Wedding and later went on to do films like Darna Zaroori Hai, Risk, Rang Rasiya and Love Khichdi which did not garner him much success at box office.

It was Ajay Devng starrer 2010 release Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai which brought him back into the limelight. Randeep followed it up with successful films like Jannat 2, Murder 3 and Bombay Talkies.

I wish Bebo, Imran were married

Mumbai: Filmmaker Karan Johar, who has produced Kareena Kapoor-Imran Khan starrerGori Tere Pyaar Mein feels the actor-duo would have made a great married couple in real life.

“I feel they both (Kareena and Imran) look gorgeous, stunning together. I feel they must be together. I wish they were married,” producer Karan Johar told reporters at the first look launch of Gori Tere Pyaar Mein.

Kareena seemed to be amused with Karan’s remark and asked, “What will happen to Saif ?”

Both actors are pairing opposite each other in the romantic comedy for the second time after Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu.

During the event, Imran even went on to say Kareena reminds him of his wife Avantika.

“She reminds me of Avantika. I enjoying working with Kareena. Its fun always. I like to spend time with her,” Imran said.

Directed by Punit Malhotra, the film releases on November 22.

The promo shows Kareena, working with an NGO, and how she happens to meet Imran and the two fall in love.

“I try to make and sell dreams. Films are way of entertainment and we do exaggerate things... It is
basically cinematic liberty,” Karan said.

For Karan, his mother Hiroo Johar is Gori

When Kareena was  asked about the experience of working with Imran again, Kareena said, “I think it has been great because I did Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu with Imran. It was so special. It was slightly English, it was not for the masses, it was a classy film. But this is completely the opposite and is mad.”

“It has three to four item songs and it is what everybody would like. I think it is going to be fun. I saw the trailer and (my husband) Saif (Ali Khan) saw the trailer too. He thinks it is fun,” she added.

‘My Krrish 3 role is chance of a lifetime’

New Delhi: Vivek Oberoi’s super villain look in sci-fi franchise Krrish 3 has been kept under wraps but the actor, who has not tasted success at the box office for sometime, is confident that the role will be a game changer for him.

“It’s once in a life time character. He is a super villain and an aristocratic prince of darkness. He hates human race because he is not accepted in the society. His vengeance is so strong that he has created his own universe to fight against them. It’s one of the scariest baddies onscreen,” Vivek said in an interview.
The 37-year-old actor said he did not face any problem in playing a dark role because he feels he got maximum appreciation from audience by portraying such edgy roles in films like Company and Shootout at Lokhandwala.
“I enjoy doing such characters. I am constantly looking for roles which are new for me and challenging to do. With Krish 3 I jumped at it. I was very impressed with the script and character,” said Vivek, who was here to support a cause for underprivileged girls in Vrindavan.
Directed by Rakesh Roshan, the film will see Hrithik and Priyanka reprising their roles while Kangana Ranaut is the new addition. It is slated to hit theatres this Diwali.
Vivek designed the look and mannerism of his character in the film.

Kochadaiiyaan to be out on Rajini’s B’day

Chennai: If all goes as planned, then Rajinikanth-starrer Tamil period-drama Kochadaiiyaan will most likely release on his birthday on December 12 worldwide, says a source close to the film’s unit.

“The makers want it to be Rajini sir’s birthday gift and in turn a treat for his fans. The idea is to release it on his birthday provided everything goes as smoothly as planned. We are currently busy with the post-production work,” the source said.
The first teaser of Kochadaiiyaan, which is directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin, was released online on Monday. It has received mixed response from fans so far.
While true ‘Rajinians’ loved it, some panned it for its poor visual effects.
Touted to be made on a budget of over Rs. 100 crore, Kochadaiiyaan is reportedly India’s first motion capture 3D film which will be released even in foreign languages such as Italian, Spanish and even Japanese.
The film also features Deepika Padukone, R. Sarath Kumar and Jackie Shroff in important roles.

B-Town wishes happy Ganesh Chaturthi

Mumbai: On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on Monday, several Bollywood celebrities like Bipasha Basu, Madhur Bhandarkar and Pooja Bhatt sent online greetings to their friends, family and fans, wishing that the good lord blesses them all.

While some are excited about 10-day-long festivities, others hope Ganesha brings happiness to everyone’s life. Here’s what the stars had to say on microblogging site Twitter:

Bipasha Basu: Happy Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganpati Bappa Morya!

Jacqueline Fernandez: Happy Ganesh Chaturthi. May Ganesh ji bless us all.

Amrita Rao: Eco friendly Ganesh idols and No bollywood item songs playing during processions. Bappa Morya to all...Hoping to celebrate the festival in its true sanctity.

Celina Jaitly: On Ganesh Chaturthi, bappa bless our nation and remove the obstacles which stay in way of its growth and bless us all with health wealth and happiness.

Madhur Bhandarkar: May Lord Ganesha bestow success, happiness and prosperity on you and your family. Happy Ganesh Chaturthi.

Pooja Bhatt: Ganesh Chaturthi reminds me of my grandmother Shireen Nanabhai Bhatt. She was a Muslim who inculcated in me a genuine love for Lord Ganesh.

Khan family welcomes Ganpati

Mumbai: It is a very special time of the year for Salman and his entire Khan-daan. Though there were speculations that Ganesh Chaturthi would take place at his Panvel farmhouse since his Bandra residence was being renovated, the idea has been dropped and this year, Lord Ganapati is checking in at Alvira’s Bandra house. The festival will be celebrated with great pomp and show, as usual, and will be no less spectacular in any measure. Salman’s sisters Alvira and Arpita are the hosts this time and they are trying their best to make it a grand success.

The ceremony, which had begun 10 years back due to his youngest sister Arpita’s insistence, will be overseen by the latter along with her sister Alvira and her husband Atul Agnihotri.
Earlier in the day, Arpita was spotted carrying the idol, along with Sohail Khan who drove in to help her take the idol home.
There were reports that the family had decided to host the festival at their Panvel farmhouse as their ‘Galaxy‘ apartment in Bandra is under renovation.
The plan was however dropped as the Khans feared too many people from the area might drop in to be part of the festivity. Salim Khan said: “We always have friends and relatives coming over for Ganpati darshan. Panvel will be quite far off for everyone.”
“Arpita is in charge again and the celebrations which start today (Monday) will continue for one-and-a-half days,” Salman’s father added.
Sangeeta Bijlani, Preity Zinta, Sonakshi Sinha and many others have already paid a visit to seek the Lord’s blessings. With Shah Rukh Khan inviting Salman for Eid and an Iftar Party in Dubai, we wonder if Salman has also invited the Badshah for Ganapati celebrations. And if SRK pays a visit to Salman’s house for the Ganesh utsav, it will be quite a surprise as the actor himself celebrates the festival with huge fanfare.

I don’t want to do ten-minute roles: Parineeti- latest news in bollywood

Mumbai: Actress Parineeti Chopra, who has worked with Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, says she prefers to work with the new crop of actors rather than big stars.

The 24-year-old actress said she has rejected few projects opposite some of Bollywood’s biggest stars because the routine song-and-dance films do not excite her.

“I have been offered a lot of films with many big actors but I have unfortunately declined them. I felt I did not have much to do. I will never do a usual film with song and dance, the character has to be important,” she  said in an interview.

“I don’t want to do a film where I have a ten minute role. Till now I have done films where my role is important. If I have a good script, then I will do it. I just don’t want to be a heroine in the film,” she said.

Parineeti says she is glad she made the right decisions at the right time and chose to stay away from typical Bollywood potboliers.

“There were lots of masala, action films that I could have done and earned money and roamed around different locations. But I chose not to do them. Those films have released and... I am glad I did not do them,” she said.

“I can’t name the projects. But I don’t regret not doing those projects,” said the actress.
